Hi all
I'm not sure about the formatting for the competition entry - I know its in the email body or attachment but are you guys using standard manuscript format - double spacing, title/name in header etc or just a basic word doc?
Cheers

Lets start with the bad news. You have about 0% to -0% chance of winning this competition.
I think they run it just to see how many entries they get in. You will never see any of the winners on these Community pages. In fact, after each competition you will never see or hear any more from them. The Judges know exactly what they want in a winner and its not fantasy. As most of the Community contributors are Fantasy writers their chances plummet.
I entered the competition about 3 times. Until I realized. I would never win it due to the nature of my stories and style. Violent crime stories do not make nice competition winners.
The good news is entering the competitions will improve your writing. It has a deadline. This alone is a great help in focusing and getting rid of all the obstacles that stops a writer from writing. It will get you editing. Another great tool in a writers chest.
I don't think W&A are to bothered how they get the story as long as its well edited and in a Word format they can use.
Most Online Magazine submissions require you to follow the William Shunn Format
http://www.shunn.net/format/2013/11/manuscript_template_for_micros.html
But again, what everyone wants is a well edited well written piece of work that will blow their socks off.
If you are happy with your work. You can always repackage and send it off somewhere else.
That will have more appreciation for the master piece you have created;D#
So Good luck and Keep on Trucking.
I am awaiting the similar query (s) Dan. Hopefully the answers will flow through soon.
