'The Battle of Ocana: The Army of Spain's Greatest Triumph' by Pierre Juhel. This little known battle in 1809 (no British involved, unless I can wangle my characters' participation!!) is notable for the largest single cavalry battle (8000 combatants) in the Peninsular War.
