What books are you reading at the moment.

I am curious as to what books you read.

What books are you reading at moment?

How many are you reading at the moment, and by what authors?

Are they contemporary award-winning authors, or traditional authors?

Do you think the authors you read have enhanced your writing skills?

I am reading, Jane Eyre - Charlotte Bronte.

Idylls of the King - Tennyson.

The English Novel - Walter Allen

Beyond Good and Evil - Nietzche.

Jane Eyre is brilliant.

Idylls of the King is excellent.

The English Novel is an interesting history of the Novel.

Beyond Good and Evil is a challenging read. I will continue to read it a page at a time.

Louise.

That is my point.

My book is not about any of the authors I have been reading.

I read authors to pick up tips and learn from what I consider their strengths.

Fair comment John.

I will clarify my position.

My preferred choice of award winning authors, are those that have been nominated or won the Carnegie or Newbury Medal.

The value of some awards has been questioned. For example the booker prize, where it has been admitted that the judges in certain years, did not read the nominated books from cover to cover. Controversy has also surrounded the selection of winning books of other awards.

Reputation is everything regardig awards.
