I am curious as to what books you read.
What books are you reading at moment?
How many are you reading at the moment, and by what authors?
Are they contemporary award-winning authors, or traditional authors?
Do you think the authors you read have enhanced your writing skills?
I am reading, Jane Eyre - Charlotte Bronte.
Idylls of the King - Tennyson.
The English Novel - Walter Allen
Beyond Good and Evil - Nietzche.
Jane Eyre is brilliant.
Idylls of the King is excellent.
The English Novel is an interesting history of the Novel.
Beyond Good and Evil is a challenging read. I will continue to read it a page at a time.
We have similar ambitions with regard to setting a new trend. Let us hope we are successfuI in our determined efforts.
I believe my novel is unique. I know that is a bold statement to make, but I am quietly confident that there are certain aspects of my novel, that to my knowledge, have not been done before. I believe its uniqueness will give my novel mass market appeal.
We can but dream.
I've just finished Jo Jo Moyles Me Before You. It's interesting that I set out to be a bit more challenging that the average romantic fiction and this does exactly that. I'm hoping it's a new trend and that my idea will be well received because of that. No one wants to read straight romance now. It's been done too many times in really classic novels. I hope romance with a twist is what the publishers continue to look for, both as a reader and a writer.
