What books have had the most profound affect on you?
What books do you intend to read again?
I have just finished reading Jane Eyre. I was blown away by the last hundred pages of the Charlotte Bronte classic.
I hope to find the time to read Jane Eyre again.
I am about a quarter of the way through Villette by Charlotte Bronte. I already know it will be anothere great read.
Chhavi, I loved Tiger Eyes! I'd completely forgotten it but it was my first Judy Blume. Deenie was my favourite, quickly followed by Then Again Maybe I Won't. Could never relate to Margaret, though. In the nineties the idea of a teen chatting with God was a bit freaky for me. You had to go on a waiting list to get Forever out of the school library. Lol
I think I only read the last two Potters twice, but the other five... I lost count. If you google my name my mugglenet account still comes up on the first page. *Blushes*
I don't like to re-read books because I like the first memory of it and would like to keep it that way.
Unless, I don't really understand a book ( I had to read 'Wuthering Heights' by Emily Bronte twice in a row to keep up with the names) or I love it too much.
I would love to read 'Tiger Eyes' by Judy Blume again because I can connect to the character 'Davey'. It never fails to bring tears to my eyes no matter how many times I've already read it.
Maybe it's cheeky to say but I've read each 'Harry Potter' novel at least ten times. What can I say? Potterhead forever!
I really enjoyed the book PS I Love You by Cecelia Ahern which my son bought me, but I made the mistake of watching the film a couple of years later - films never seem to live up to the books for me as they miss so much of the story out. Also My Sister's Keeper by Jodi Picoult, which my daughter bought me. I prefer the modern day writer's and love it when I get lost in a book.
