The London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts have set four books for 2015. How many of these books have you read?
Pride and Prejudice – Jane Austen (Brilliant. Austen is my favourite traditional author.)
Alice in Wonderland – Lewis Carroll (Fantastic read)
Little Women – Louisa May Alcott (This has to be the best piece of American literature)
The London Eye Mystery – Siobhan Dowd.
Sadly, Dowd only wrote a handful of brilliant books before she died of breast cancer. Patrick Ness completed A Monster Calls, for which Dowd was awarded the Carnegie Medal, posthumously. I’m glad there is a Siobhan Dowd Trust. It is a fitting tribute. Long may her legacy continue.

Wow! Alice is Wonderland is one of my favourite! :) Pride and prejudice is good too! Lovely choice! :)
Though I have to read the other titles.
You can't deny the heritage of the books they have chosen, indeed I have enjoyed them all (bar the London Eye Mystery), but it still strikes me as a little twee.
Books by Siobhan Dowd:
The London Eye Mystery
Bog Child
A Swift Pure Cry
Solace of the Road.
A Monster Calls (Siobhan Dowd, Patrick Ness.)
The Ransom of Dond
Six excellent books by a brilliant author. They can be bought cheaply on Amazon.
