In this world of high technology and fast life, with E books getting ever more popular. What does the future hold for todays authors. What will we be doing will we still even be reading books.
For me I seriously can't see anything ever replacing the book. What can be better than chilling out with a good book, nothing. Sorry I lied chilling out with a good book while taking a hot soak. Top notch.
So what does the future hold ?
E books are the future, or at least the foreseeable future in terms of availability and storage capability. the ability to contain 10 or more of your favourite books in a small thin slab.
However, personally I still believe in the traditional safe tangible book. furthermore a paper book does not run out of battery power... and as Mr Atkinson said, real books cant be stopped. although maybe in 50 years or so the cyber book will dominate as technology moves on...
Agreed. I love the feel of a book, the smell of a brand new book and the old books with the turned over ears are pricesless, an indication of how many times the book has been read which means it must be pretty special. I dont see any technology ever replacing that.
Real books can't be stopped...everyone likes to get their favourite writers to sign their books, how can they do that if they all become downloads?
