I think it would be easier to say what I don't like, but I won't for fear of offending writers. I've just started 'Confronting the classics' by Mary Beard and, of course, the 'Baby Shoes' anthology by Loadsa People.

Lots of crap being published for younger readers, Emilie - as you well know.
Many publishers seem to think: 'They're only kids, why bother with quality?'
Books for children and adolescents - as long as they're good!
