There are many more genres in contemporary literature. Is your novel crossover, do you believe it has more than one genre?

I'm with Damien.
See, my theme in the first story was nothing to do with history, or action, or adventure; it was about belief and the search for it. And in the second it was friendship and it's consequences.
They seem more 'literary fiction' (horrible term - what is all fiction if not 'literary'?) though I wouldn't consider my writing as such. Gah!!

Hi Jonathan.
Historical, Action, Adventure can be three separate genres. Even though all three are integral to your novel.
I always ask myself what is the underlying theme of the novel? What is it about? Is it reflected in the title, front cover and blurb.
I believe the plot and storyline are what defines the genre of the novel.
