Beside the bed:
Have just finished Uncertain Light by Marion Molteno, a beautiful novel, one of the best I've read for ages, so am now reading her Somewhere More Simple. not my writing genre.[yet]
Population Control - a pelican ed. Anthony Allison for research
Ghosts - poems by Jenny Joseph
Golden Apples of the Sun - Ray Bradbury - one of my genres
An Anthology of flash fiction - another one for me.
Following the trend- I don't read many novels and I always have several books on the go at once so here they are
a. Confronting the classics - Mary Beard
b. The Baby Shoes anthology
c. The Code Book - Singh
d. The collected works of John Clare
e. Swanns Way- Proust
I want to read The Long Mars by Terry Pratchett but I can't- too sad- still grieving.
Following Clare's lead and mentioning 2 book that aren't novels (one is the same one that she's reading), I am currently at some point into 4 books:
a) 'Damaged' by Clare Williams (a thriller ms, which I'm editing for her)
b) 'For Sale: Baby Shoes, Never Worn - A Collection Of Flash Fiction Based On A Single Theme' ed. Hache L. Jones (for which I'm writing a review)
and - when my laptops' batteries run down and I have to turn to the PRINTED word:
c) 'Patience And Sarah' by Isabel Miller (my favourite love story, which I read at least once every year)
d) 'Diplomatic Baggage: The Adventures of a Trailing Spouse' by Brigid Keenan (very funny memoirs!)
