What sorts of day jobs do writers have?

Hi,

I understand that there are a thousand possible answers to this question, but I'm interested to know how writers tend to earn a living (apart from their writing). I'm asking because I'm thinking through how I might make my dream work on a practical level. Thanks!

I studies Human Resource and Business management, ended up working in a law firm, I'm a qualified CPO (Body Guard), I've worked for Assessors, did accounts for a pediatrician and now I own a beauty salon. Well, owned. I closed the salon in Feb 2015, now I restarted by specializing in eyelash extensions. My passion is writing, I really wish I could stop all the other petty things and just write full time :D
