I understand that there are a thousand possible answers to this question, but I'm interested to know how writers tend to earn a living (apart from their writing). I'm asking because I'm thinking through how I might make my dream work on a practical level. Thanks!
I worked for local government, social services dept. now retired but do some tv extra work.
Kitchen designer and saddle fitter.
Editor and proofreader, and chief cook and bottle-washer. (Only some of which pays!)
