What's the average chapter length for your novel?

My completed manuscript stands at 83,000 words and is divided into forty chapters. My average chapter length is about 2,000 words, that's six or seven pages. I do have shorter chapters and a few that are longer.

This is a good question, I've got this problem at the moment. I'm trying to aim for at least 3000 mark. But I find if I add more into the chapter then it won't fit in! And the story won't go at all.

I try to aim for around 3000, but - like you - I have some that are shorter and some that are longer :)
