I have quite a few, but at the top of the list are:-
Terry Pratchett - Witches Abroad: It makes me laugh out loud every time I read it. I must have read it at least ten times by now, but somehow it's so well observed that it never gets old.
Rowling - For conjuring up a believable school which children actually want to attend.
Jill Murphy - For achieving the same with "The Worst Witch" children's series.
Roald Dahl - For conjuring up some truly wicked adult characters and making Giant Country feel so realistic.
The Brother's Grimm - For some truly diabolical and lovable fairytales.
Did I just add a "Greengrocers' 'S'" to The Brothers Grimm? I think I may have. Oops. :)

Anything by Terry Pratchett, everything he writes is cleverly written and so funny I laugh out loud even when I'm in public!
