Questions for the community: wrtier's block - what is it, who gets it, and what do we do to overcome it?

Hi Amy, I have completed a 32,000 word children's book and I found the chapter synopsis approach you mentioned essential for me. Mine too came about because of a writing course. My biggest issue is coming up with a synopsis for the entire book. I find it so hard to sum up the 32k words into a mere page! Any tips, fellow story-weavers?
I have recently enrolled on a writing course, and the last module required me to write out a detailed synopsis of each chapter. I have never done this before, and have always struggled with writer's block. Since outlining all of the chapters, which seemed to take ages, I feel much more motivated to write, as I pretty much know where each chapter is going.
This method may not work for everyone - but worth a try if you're struggling?

Excellent advice, Lorraine - and a good joke too!
