Lunchtime Learning: Weaving the Strands of a Story

24th May 2023 12:30pm to 1:30pm, Online

Does your story run across several different timelines? Does it spend time with different people? Does it contain multiple narratives that you need to weave into one cohesive manuscript?

Then join critically acclaimed author Megan Bradbury as she talks about her process for writing ‘Everyone is Watching’, a multi-layered novel that moves between the lives of four different characters all living in New York many years apart from each other. Megan will be sharing the tools and the documents she used to navigate writing multiple narratives that span different timelines and follow different people. She will offer her insight into how you can decide which narrative strands and characters will work together, as well as how to go about sewing them together. And she will share tops tips on what do you need to take into consideration when writing across different times, as well as how voice comes into a multiple narrative story.

She will also talk about the editorial and publishing process, offering advice on how writers can work with editors and work towards publication.

This masterclass will be online, video platform to be confirmed. It will also be recorded so if you are unable to attend live, you'll be able to catch-up and access the recording for up to two weeks.
