Hi everyone,

I have only wrote three chapters and a prolouge so far, but I have already reached 20,000 words. Am I doing something right here or am I not ment to be at that word count at this particular stage of my writing?

The first draft means you can just write away to your hearts content throwing absolutely everything in.

There will be lots of editing to do when you've finished which usually involves cutting out big chunks, so not to worry!

Not necessarily.. Maybe your novel will wind up at 10 Chapters ? Word count doesn't matter unless you are exaggerating each and every line to it optimum! :)
