assuming a name

this will be my second question and hoping it gets as good an answer as my first. my name is as anyone can see quite boring, do I change my name now or wait until someone, if someone ever does take an interest in my writing? I'm sure I will have many more questions as I know nothing of the writing world.

Thanks for having a look at my drivel, unfortunately I should have spelt the last name with j so the bad joke was obvious so the name would read Hue Jarse... I did say it was a bad joke. but now you have said Garth Nix maybe I should go with it. hope you get the joke now but I appreciate your reply. may I ask if your name is a pseudonym or are you one of the very lucky ones whose parents did a good job with the mane. Regards Paul.

my thanks to everyone who has, taken the time to read and go on to answer, it's encouraging.

It seems it's a personal thing maybe because I have lived with it for so long find it uninspiring. Rachel you have suggested it has a literary sound and memorable, I think you must be a very nice person, so many people have got it wrong over the years making me think it's not that memorable as some of the changes have been made when people have been reading my name as they have replied with, and a short list here so don't turn off. Gartside, ok get that one. Fartside and one I like Darkside, so after long and deep thought I decided on my pseudonym after catching my reflection in a shop window. Hue Garse. what do you think? Regards Hue.
