How does everyone come up with their character's names? Frankly mine, just sort of come to me randomly and if they sort of feel right for the character, I choose them. It would be interesting to know how the others do it.

Some names come automatically. If not; I use a Name Generator software program I downloaded for free.
Names should not be confusing though, and should fit the character, time period, and story type etc.
The first name I came up was because my mothers dog was running around the room while thinking of the name for the main character, so I came up with Heidi, most others are from babynames.com
This is a hard one. Sometimes characters names just come to me other's don't, I find the more I struggle to find one the least I like it. It's best just to let them come to you naturally.
