And you're in the right direction. A good writer always worry about details, especially names. Maybe you can find names related to the sun and the moon in mythology articles. Have you already tried that? I'm sure you'll find interesting things in there.
The sun family have a last name (Non sun related the reason is in the story) and the moon family don't have one yet (book is still in the works)
