Community writing game

Hi All,

I thought it would be a fun idea to start a community writing project here in the forum. All you have to do is think of the next sentence to follow the story. It can be any length of a sentence and can take any genre you like.

I'll start.

On a cold and windy evening the owl perched on the branch was his only friend.

Lylona, calmed her mind and, deciding on a tone more simpering and more appropriate in addressing a King replied, 'Forgive me, your Highness. Blakfur induced my long sleep and in so long a sleep I have forgotten how to address one as mighty as you. In my waking, I responded as if to the perpetrator of my sleep. Undo my chains and tell me your aim in calling me back.'

King Moonstripe gathered the summoning stones, lit a fire over them, grabbed the magic restrains Lerajie gave him long ago, read the spell or release, a spell he prayed he would never have to use, and waited.

Smoke quickly filled the little hole he was in, and a scream sounded. Faint at first, but it quickly got louder and louder, echoing again and again, sounding more like a screech, a squeal of torment and pain, a woman in anguish.

"I will rip your heart out you filthy..."

Lylona the enchantress didn’t get to finish her sentence. Moonstripe jumped her and tied chains around her neck.

"Be quiet wench. You might have once been a fairy of the forest, but I won't hesitate to cut your head off. Just as Blakfur left you without wings, I will gladly leave you without a head."

Lylona knew better than to ignore Moonstipe’s threats. The king might have not looked it, but he was as ruthless as they come.
