Community writing game

Hi All,

 

I thought it would be a fun idea to start a community writing project here in the forum. All you have to do is think of the next sentence to follow the story. It can be any length of a sentence and can take any genre you like.

 

I'll start.

On a cold and windy evening the owl perched on the branch was his only friend.

The farmer's dog, one paw upon the Fox's throat, sensed there was something deeply wrong and, with his heightened senses, recognised the fear of his master and raced in to the forest. Mr Fox gasped with relief!

He charged forwards with more purpose than when he was going to get his dinner. And he liked dinner. Very much. This time he was going to catch that thieving fox and actually get a nice tasty treat for his hard work instead of a bollocking for a couple of lost chickens.

But Mr Fox could have never predicted what would follow. Soon, dinner would be the last thing on his mind. He lifted his head up and smelled the air, searching for the stench of the farm's guard dog.
