How many words?

How many words do you tend to write in one sitting?

Is there a maximum or a minimum you work to?

What do you consider a good day?

How long do you tend to work on your MS before you've had enough?

I hope to write 300-400 words. Sometimes it's more, often a lot less or nothing at all. It depends on working hours (2 jobs restricts your free time a tad).

But I try to at least do something. So I'll look through outlines, or alter a future blurb, or fiddle around with potential future cover art. But mostly I read histories of my particular period and hope to find a gem that historians have ignored, or which doesn't quite make sense. They often make great starting points for fiction.

In my case, writing and typing are two entirely different things: I could write, say two chapters a day... that is roughly 1000-2000 words, IF I've got the flow. (If not, tough)

With typing, however, I get super-lazy! most I can get done in a day is half a chapter, most days just a quarter.
