If your wildest dream could come true would you risk everything?

hi-I am scared to ask this question, but I'll go ahead anyway. I really hope for replies! In a scenario in my recent novel-a group of people whose only similarity is they have all faced life-changing challenges recently, are asked to join a secret (potentially dangerous) mission whose details will be revealed only after they have signed up. Their reward would be their greatest desire being fulfilled. They don't have to identify that wish yet, they don't know how it will come true-but they have the choice of signing up or walking away and perhaps fulfilling their dream their own way. Would you sign up? Why?

If not to risk everything ... Why chase the dream then?

Yes, risk everything. It is better to taste the sweet pleasure of the risk to live their entire lives in the monotony.
