Hello all and a happy new year.
I have just had a renewal notice for my pc office. It also warned that if I didn't renew I could have problems using the installed software. I had no idea I had to renew every year my office software. Just wondered if there is any other software as good as word, that I can buy outright? any ideas?

I use an old version of Office and Word 2003 because that's what I'm used do. There's a programme called Open Office you can download for free and which I tried for a while when Windows XP was replaced and I worried my old programmes wouldn't work. In the event they did, so I ditched Open Office, but the word processor was very similar to Word.
