I like the physical presence of books in my home. Books on shelves have a magnetic attraction. They are in easy reach if I need to refer to them.

I've run out of space for all my books from history, to trashy romances to books on "how to do " anything. Now I have a Kindle, with so many book on it I could fill another library. But I still like the smell and feel of a book in my hands. My favourites? Edward Rutherfurd - I have them all, Bill Bryson - have them all too, Agatha Christie - have all those as well. The list goes on. And with a husband who is a collector as well - there are even bookshelves in the garage - soon there will be no place for the car.
I don't think there is a genre of books that can't be found on my shelves, but I have to admit that most of my reading now is on the Kindle. I only read an actual book now if it isn't available digitally or if I need to look something up for research purposes.
I realised I had a book problem when I wanted to start decorating and realised that very few bare walls exist in my house as all the spare wall space including corridors is full of books on shelves. I'll admit I did need to refer to a lot of references for my non fiction, but that only makes up a small amount!
Me too. I love reading and a home is definitely more comfortable and homely if it is filled with books. There is nothing like having the bookshelf filled up with books.
