A house is not a home without literary conveniences and it takes years to accumulate the right books to have on hand for reference and for recreation from reality.
I love seeing books. They fill up part of my empty life! :) And of course reading at least two of them everyday adds to the fun!! :D
I agree entirely. I've got hundreds of the blooming things because I never give any away. Everything, from the birdwatching Field Guides of my youth through antique and modern Equine veterinary and training treatises to William Napier's six-volume 'History of the War in the Peninsula' is stuffed into a variety of bookcases, alongside far too many once-read-never-discarded novels.
Problem is my wife loves books as much as I :)
