I am writing the first chapter of a potential novel.
Unfortunately it seems most awfully finished, but quite short still. I will of course go back and touch up on it. But it is only 2 pages and 3 lines long. How does one extend their writing?

I see what you're saying and I agree, but the behaviour and personality will expand as it goes along. The looks are steadfast and won't change. So all I have to do is describe them well enough, and that's that. its the personality that takes time.
Hi Andrew,
Don't be sorry you have done a fantastic job. I really like it.
You asked how I wonder how I'm picturing the parents at the moment... Then you mention secret plans.
No laughing now.
This is how I see it. I can hear myself listening to a secret conversation within the walls of a house or behind the skirting board. A conversation that is going on with the family of mouse attending the funeral of a loved one. Silly as it sounds I know, it's the cheese... only a mouse will have the sense to pick up the smell of cheese from afar distance.
Now you’re going to tell me not to forget to take my medication lol
Not really putting a spanner in the works ;-) But...
Looks can be the outward marker for character and behaviour - they are certainly taken as such by people (first impressions and all that) - and they can be deceptive... :-)
