In this four-week online course, we’ll look at the essentials you need to get your short story collection written! We’ll explore the fundamentals of writing short stories, how you can explore theme in your work, how you can get your short stories published and the options ahead of you in both small presses and self-publishing.
Week One: Defining the short story and what makes a great short
Week Two: Exploring genre, theme and concept in your work
Week Three: How to get your short stories published
Week Four: Getting your collection out there.
One-to-one session to be arranged at a time to suit the participant.
Led by Alex Davis, a workshopper and tutor with fifteen years of experience and a Creative Writing Lecturer at the University of Derby.
