Anyone entered the Flash Fiction competition?

I just sent in my attempt and was surprised at just how difficult it was to condense my ideas into a 200 word limit.

More difficult even than poetry which can be freed up by the form you chose to use.

But with fiction I found the constraints that much tighter. Which I did not expect. Makes it a great writing expercise though, that's for sure.

Has anyone else experienced this or do you find Flash Fiction easy to write?

The Japanese writer Yasunari Kawabata also compiled a lovely collection of miniature fiction called "Palm Of The Hand Stories".

Really a delightful read and a good source of inspiration for sure.
