A favourite place to write?

Does anyone have a favourite place to write? As well as writing at home, I used to go to a local village cafe every Thursday and treat myself to a coffee and some lunch at the same time as writing for a couple of hours. I really looked forward to it and got some good pieces of wrting done (in my opinion) - but then they decided to put the background music up and I found I couldnt hear myself think. Now I just write at home but may venture out to a local pub for a non alcoholic beverage and lunch and see what that brings.

I write at home, mostly in complete silence. Sometimes I will listen to classical music as I write.

When I was in the boarding school, I used to sneak out to the outer boundaries of the school and sit under trees or lower branches and write. I used to find that quite peaceful (unless a monkey/langur decided to show up)

Sometimes I went up to the roof and wrote till the sun set. It was a beautiful setting because I used to live in the hills.

Back at home, the city is too noisy, so I mostly like to sit on my bed and write. It's comfortable and I get all the personal space I need because I like to be alone when I write.

Hi Victoria, the office in the turret sounds wonderful. I can almost picture it and how inspirational it must be to be able to sit there and write
