Waiting

by Isabella Hynde

I've been reading the blogs and questions and answers on this site and realise that we're all waiting for something. We might be waiting for the results of the Short Story Competition (hint hint), waiting to hear from an agent (missing or not), waiting for the next inspiring thought, or for the next comment on our shared works. What are you waiting for and how do you handle the waiting?

That is sooooooo patient! I take my hat off to you and I have to say I admire your tenacity, resilience, perseverence, . . . . . . I can think of so many wonderful adjectives. I hope this is the start of many successes for you Louise. I think this will encourage all of us Waiting Folk to keep writing, to keep submitting and to keep waiting patiently. All the very best with sorting out final contractual details.

That is brilliant! I'm so pleased for you. Are you allowed to say when it will be published and by whom or where it will appear and when? That is the kind of news that I think we all need to hear to keep us motivated. I hope this won't sound patronising because I don't mean it that way, but WELL DONE!

And I'm dying to know if it was the story that had been out for 183 days!

Hi Lily

I just read the thread and I'm impressed with how much writing or editing we're all doing while we're waiting. Imagine how horrible it would be if we were all sitting at home doing nothing but waiting

Would someone please hide my lap top so that I stop checking for the Short Story Writing Competition shortlist to come out. I'll start hoping for a power failure.
